ODKF KARES Grant Program
The Ohio District Kiwanis Foundation recognizes that many of our Ohio Kiwanis Clubs are having difficulty completing their community service projects due to the inability to hold fundraisers because to the Covid 19 pandemic. Scholarship support is not allowable with a KARES grant.
The Foundation Board has agreed to divert funds in its Disaster Relief fund and its annual Club grant program to a new “ODKF KARES” (Kiwanis, Aid, Relief, Economic Security) grant program. A total of $ 25,000 has been set aside for this program.
Funds will be available to Kiwanis Clubs through a new grant application designed just for this new program. The application process and the payment program has been simplified so that there is a shorter time between application submission, approval, and payment.
A maximum of $1000 will be awarded for each grant. All Ohio District Kiwanis Clubs may apply. Only one Grant per Club.
Grants applications will be accepted beginning January 15th. Deadline for all applications will be February 19th.
