the Planned Giving Program of Ohio District Kiwanis Foundation
Building a Legacy of Service...
Planned giving allows you to build a legacy of service in Ohio. Your gift will increase the Foundation endowment that will, in turn, permit the Foundation to make grants in support of Kiwanis service projects. Donors may also receive tax benefits from these contributions.
The Ohio Kiwanis Endowment Society is a recognition program for those individuals who want to include unrestricted gifts to the Ohio District Kiwanis Foundation in their estate plan.
The Planned Giving Program has been increasingly promoted since 2013 by the ODKF Board as a means to support the desire of individual Kiwanians to create their own meaningful Kiwanis legacy for the future of the children in their community, the Ohio District and throughout the world. There are no minimum giving levels, only the desire to maximize your impact and legacy.
After family and loved ones have been provided for in your estate, there are several alternatives for establishing your legacy to the Kiwanis mission.
If you would like to continue your legacy to the Kiwanis mission, please consider participating in the Ohio District Kiwanis Foundation Endowment Society.
As with all financial decisions, please consult your own personal financial advisor before making any specific decisions/donations to this program.
Please consult your financial/tax advisor or lawyer before choosing your desired planned giving option.
We are pleased to have been involved in the work of the Ohio District Kiwanis Foundation for over 30 years. Our commitment to continuing this involvement into the future motivated us ten years ago to make a gift through the Endowment Society of the Foundation as part of our estate planning.
The Ohio District Kiwanis Foundation has given support to service projects making an impact on children throughout Ohio. These have helped children learn to read, to play safely on playgrounds, to ride bicycles with helmets in place and to be treated with appropriate equipment when they are injured. This helps Kiwanians improve the world one community and one child at a time.
We have been blessed in the years that we have been able to serve as Past Governor of the Ohio District and as Secretary/Treasurer of the Foundation. Our gift is an additional way we can contribute beyond our lifetime when we will no longer be involved directly in Kiwanis service. We encourage other Ohio Kiwanians to consider establishing their legacy in this way.
